I recommend using the XM-07, a HID controller&encoder device. It can be run on almost  any operating systems and any games. Whether single player or dual players, digital inputs or analog inputs even keyboard and trackball. You just need only one.

Recently, I have received many users asking how to configure the dual controller in a Raspberry Pi. I'm sorry I'm not professional about Raspberry Pi. So I googled this link:

Hope to help you and thanks the author.

All of our products are compatible but not limited to  Win8/Win 7/ Vista/XP/2000/98 & Linux & Android & MAC OS & Raspberry Pi.

All of our products are support mechanical & electronic coin selector,low-level trigger signal input and can be defined by software directly to an input pin.

About the wiring, all types of our products are the same.Every push button has two pins, one is must be wired to the GND(Ground),the other one is wired to the signal pin of the controller.
